How to love maturely without falling back into the mystical trap of illusion

Sometimes the night greets me with a strange sensation — not so much pain as a question , one that slips into the periphery of my thoughts like a light unsure of whether it wishes to remain. After every disappointment there arrives this moment: the moment when you no longer ask “Why did it happen?” but begin to listen to a quieter, almost prayerful inner register: “How can it not happen again?” Not as self-blame. Not as fear of falling once more. But as the desire to learn to love without breaking apart, without turning love into a field where your own shadows outweigh the light. I write these lines as if in a diary, though I’m not entirely sure whether I’m speaking to myself, to time, or to that invisible presence I sometimes call soul , sometimes God , and sometimes simply my own inner ground . Letting go of who we think we should be and accepting ourselves as we are has a powerful spiritual meaning that is found in many spiritual traditions and practices.

At its core, this process is about surrendering our ego-driven desires and expectations, and opening ourselves up to the wisdom and guidance of the divine or the universe. By releasing our attachments to external identities, labels, and accomplishments, we can connect more deeply with our true nature and our inherent worth as spiritual beings.

In many spiritual traditions, this process of letting go and acceptance is seen as a key step on the path to enlightenment or spiritual awakening. By letting go of our false sense of self and embracing our true nature, we can transcend the limitations of our ego and experience a deeper connection with the divine and all living beings.

At the same time, this process is not always easy or straightforward. It often requires facing and working through deep-seated fears, doubts, and insecurities, and learning to trust in the goodness and abundance of the universe. However, the rewards of this journey can be profound, including greater peace, joy, and fulfillment in our lives, and a deeper sense of purpose and connection with the world around us.
